Job Summary
RN Care Specialist responsibilities include accurately assessing residents' health status and needs on admission and ongoing basis, communicating changes to the interdisciplinary team, documenting assessments and care plans, developing dynamic care plans with input from physicians, residents, families, and IDT members, implementing nursing interventions (medication administration, treatments, IV therapies), timely documentation, and leveraging SBARR for physician notifications. The role requires critical thinking, ability to respond to crises calmly, and adherence to QAPI processes to address issues and ensure resident safety and quality of care; duties may include assisting with ADLs, answering call lights, and completing ongoing nursing offerings.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in the state you will be working
- Education from an accredited school of nursing
- CPR/AED certification required, or willing to obtain within six months of employment
