Job Summary
Monitor and care for patients through virtual and bedside nursing, including medication reconciliation, procedure checklists, and second nurse sign-offs. Provide patient and family education, discharge planning, and document interactions via EPIC. Act as a knowledge resource to bedside RNs and communicate care information effectively. Requires current Illinois RN licensure, ACLS, and NIHSS certification within six months. Full-time schedule includes 36 hours weekly from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am with rotating holiday tracks. Endeavor Health serves over 4.2 million residents across six northeast Illinois counties with eight acute care hospitals recognized for nursing excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree or higher in Nursing
- Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure
- Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of start date in position
- Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS) within in 6 months of start date in position
- Current incumbents with an RN Diploma are grandfathered
- RN Diploma Nurse if position start date is prior to September 1, 2021
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor?s Degree or higher in Nursing
- 1 year of bedside inpatient nursing experience in an acute care setting, highly preferred
