Job Summary
Provide bedside and virtual nursing care to assigned patients on the cardiovascular unit, including monitoring, medication reconciliation, and discharge planning. Act as a knowledge resource to the bedside RN by performing procedure checklists, second nurse sign-offs, and patient/family education. Document all patient interactions via EPIC and communicate care information effectively. Requires an Associate Degree in Nursing or higher, current Illinois RN licensure, and ACLS/Stroke Scale certifications within six months of start date. Full-time 36-hour week with 7:00pm to 7:00am shifts, rotating holidays, and premium pay based on expertise.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree or higher in Nursing
- Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure
- Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of start date in position
- Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS) within in 6 months of start date in position
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Nursing
- 1 year of bedside inpatient nursing experience in an acute care setting
