Job Summary
Provide patient care in the Cardiovascular Operating Room at a Level I STEMI and Trauma Center, supporting both Cardiothoracic Surgery and Vascular Surgery. Perform duties as a circulating or scrub nurse during open heart, vascular, minimally invasive, and robotic procedures. Coordinate care across departments while maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to Mercy Service Standards. Requires current Missouri RN license, BLS certification, and one year of RN experience. Evening shifts with call required.
Required Qualifications
- Current Missouri RN license
- BLS certification
- OR nurse with experience in a surgical setting
- Interest in cardiovascular and vascular specialties
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
- Team-oriented with strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Interest in expanding skills in both circulating and scrub roles
- Call Required
Desired Qualifications
- Strongly prefer one year of RN experience
- Nursing degree from an accredited school
- ASN to BSN Bridging Program to assist in obtaining your BSN (up to $16,000)
- Tuition Reimbursement up to $2,000 for continuing education
