Job Summary
RN in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) providing direct, comprehensive nursing care for patients undergoing open heart, valve, and congenital heart procedures in a fast-paced CVOR environment. Responsibilities include applying the nursing process, administering medications and treatments, coordinating patient care with families and healthcare teams, performing unit-standard assessments, documenting actions, leading and supervising nursing staff as appropriate, orienting new staff, and contributing to quality improvement and safety initiatives. Must hold an active RN license (NM or compact), BLS, and preferably ACLS/PALS with CVOR experience; EPIC charting used for documentation; opportunity for sign-on and relocation benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing
- State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License
- BLS certification REQUIRED at time of hire
- ACLS:Surgical Services Pre-Op and Recovery Room
- PALS: Surgical Services Pre-Op and Recovery Room
- CVOR HIGHLY PREFERRED
