Job Summary
Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) provides direct patient care across a full range of procedures including open heart surgery, valve procedures, coronary bypass, and congenital heart defect cases. Works within a fast-paced, high-technology environment alongside physicians, with responsibilities spanning patient assessment, medication administration, protocol adherence, patient and family education, discharge planning, and coordination with the healthcare team. Leadership and mentorship duties include supervising LPNs and non-licensed personnel, supporting staff orientation, and participating in quality improvement. Qualifications include an Associate Degree in Nursing and state RN licensure (New Mexico or compact), BLS at time of hire, ACLS and PALS for Surgical Services Pre-Op and Recovery Room; CVOR experience preferred. Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing
- State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License
