Job Summary
Registered Nurse for the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) providing direct patient care across open heart procedures including coronary bypass, valve surgery, and congenital heart defects; works with physicians in a fast-paced, high-technology environment using EPIC charting; responsibilities include coordinating care with patients and families, administering medications, initiating and documenting protocols, assessing patients, supervising LPNs and non-licensed staff, and contributing to orientation and professional governance while meeting unit policies and quality improvement goals.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing
- State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License
- BLS certification REQUIRED at time of hire
- ACLS
- PALS
- CVOR HIGHLY PREFERRED
