Job Summary
Coordinate patient care and physician access by prioritizing visits, collecting and labeling lab specimens, and administering injections per protocol. Maintain efficient patient flow by scheduling appointments, obtaining vital signs, and documenting all procedures accurately in the EHR and PMS. Serve as a liaison between patients, staff, and physicians while ensuring proper equipment checks and safe medication disposal. Facilitate care transitions to UCC or hospital as needed. Requires a New York State RN license, ACLS, and BLS certifications, with a preference for 2-4 years of experience.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree
- New York State Nursing License
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
- 0 – 1 years experience
- Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to perform diverse work assignments with time limitations with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to use problem solving, critical thinking and priority setting skills
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 2-4 years experience
- Experience with Standard Office Equipment (Phone, Fax, Copy Machine, Scanner, Email/Voice Mail)
- Experience with Standard Office Technology in a Window based environment
- Experience with patient care equipment
- Experience with EHR, Practice Management System and Departmental/Ancillary Systems
