Job Summary
Provide patient care on the Cardiac Telemetry unit using the nursing process while maintaining professional accountability for assigned patients. Evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and coordinate patient care with other departments. Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information while performing duties consistent with Mercy's mission, values, and service standards. Requires current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri or compact licensure, BLS certification, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Full-time 36-hour day shift position at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following: Associate Degree in Nursing, Nursing Diploma, or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations
- Previous hospital experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties

- Additional state licensure or specialty certifications
- Prior experience in specialty area or similar clinical setting
