Job Summary
Provide patient care on the Cardiac Telemetry unit using the nursing process while maintaining professional accountability for assigned patients. Coordinate care across departments and evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Ensure patient rights and confidentiality are upheld while performing duties consistent with Mercy service standards. Requires a current Missouri RN license, BLS certification, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs with prolonged standing. Full-time 36-hour day shift available at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Associate Degree in Nursing
- Nursing Diploma
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri
- Compact licensure in accordance with state board of nursing regulations
- Previous hospital experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
