Job Summary
Provide patient care on the Cardiac Telemetry unit at Mercy Hospital South using the nursing process while maintaining professional accountability for assigned patients. Coordinate care with other departments and evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by direct care givers. Ensure patient rights and confidentiality are upheld while performing duties consistent with Mercy Service Standards. Requires a current Missouri RN license, BLS certification, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs with prolonged standing. Night shift schedule of 36 hours per week includes a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 for experienced nurses.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following: Associate Degree in Nursing, Nursing Diploma, or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations
- Previous hospital experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
