Job Summary
The Progressive Care Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in the Cardiac Telemetry unit. In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care and serves as an advocate for patients to support an exceptional patient experience. Responsibilities include assessing patient condition during admission and each shift, reporting changes, performing procedures as ordered, documenting care in the medical record, administering prescribed medications and monitoring responses, and maintaining knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in cardiac and medical-surgical care. Requires ACLS within 90 days and BLS within 30 days of start date; 6 months minimum RN experience; and eligibility for an Associate Degree, RN Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Current Registered Nurse license
- ACLS within 90 days of employment start date
- BLS/CPR within 30 days of employment start date
- Minimum 6 months experience as a RN
- Ability to provide patient-centered care in progressive/telemetry units
