Job Summary

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle while maintaining organizational standards of practice. Coordinate patient care activities for all assigned staff to ensure quality delivery. Maintain current Georgia State Licensure, BCLS, and ACLS certifications, completing additional specialty certifications within 180 days as applicable. Provide care during night shifts at Piedmont Augusta Hospital, with new residents completing required certifications within six months of start date.

Required Qualifications

Graduate from a nursing program
No experience required
New Graduates of a nursing program eligible
1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions
RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure
Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
BCLS - Basic Life Support
ACLS Certification
CDN (Certified Dialysis Certificate)
ACLS and PALS Certification
Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification
PEARS or PALS Certification
PreOp/PACU/ENDO/CSU - ACLS; PALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients
BLS required only
Labor and Delivery-ACLS Certification
NRP by the end of orientation period
AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program
Mother/Baby- NRP by the end of orientation period
NICU- NRP by the end of orientation period
NAT (Newborn Admission Team)- NRP by the end of orientation period
Nursery- NRP by the end of orientation period

Desired Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree
Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting
Advanced certification in field of specialty

PALS Certification - required at Piedmont Columbus Hospital
PALS Certification - required at Piedmont Athens Hospital
