Job Summary
Staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle using nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care. Coordinates patient care activities of all assigned staff and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. Requires Georgia RN licensure with multistate option, BCLS, and multiple unit-specific certifications (ACLS, PALS/PEARS, NRP/PALS as applicable). Night shift position at Piedmont Augusta Hospital with sign-on bonus available.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a nursing program
- Current Georgia RN license or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
- BCLS certification required
- ACLS certification required within 180 days for Cardiac Tele unit and related areas
- PALS certification required within 180 days for pediatric/cardiac units where applicable
- PEARS or PALS required at Piedmont Athens Hospital within 180 days for NICU/Pediatrics areas
- NRP by orientation period for NICU/Pediatrics as applicable
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- No experience required / new graduates eligible
- 1 year hospital experience preferred for PRN positions
- Advanced certifications may be required for specialty units
