Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned cardiac telemetry patients while maintaining professional accountability. Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information consistent with Mercy Service Standards. Obtain and maintain a current RN license within the hiring state or compact licensure area. Complete required certifications such as BLS and ACLS within the department's timeframe. Perform duties requiring the ability to push, pull, and lift 50 lbs, along with prolonged standing, walking, and physical maneuvers like gripping, reaching, and squatting. Work full-time night shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- One or more of the certifications below: ACLS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, BLS, PALS, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., C-EFM, or other unit-specific certifications as required
