Job Summary
Provide patient care using the nursing process for assigned cardiac telemetry patients while maintaining professional accountability. Evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and coordinate patient care with other departments. Ensure patient rights and confidentiality of information are upheld in compliance with Mercy service standards. Maintain current BLS certification through the American Heart Association. Full-time day shift schedule of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following: Associate Degree in Nursing, Nursing Diploma, or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations
- Previous hospital experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties

- Additional state licensure or specialty certifications
- Prior experience in specialty area or similar clinical setting
