Job Summary
Provide patient care using the nursing process while maintaining professional accountability for assigned patients. Coordinate care with other departments and evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by direct care givers. Ensure patient rights and confidentiality are upheld throughout the shift. Maintain duties consistent with Mercy's mission, values, and service standards. Requires current Missouri RN license, BLS certification, and weekend availability. Earn a $20/hour differential for Friday through Monday shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following: Associate Degree in Nursing, Nursing Diploma, or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations
- Previous hospital experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
Desired Qualifications

- Additional state licensure or specialty certifications
- Prior experience in specialty area or similar clinical setting
