Job Summary
Provide patient care in the Cardiac Stepdown unit using the nursing process while maintaining professional accountability for assigned patients. Coordinate care with other departments and evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by direct care givers. Ensure patient rights and confidentiality are upheld throughout all interactions. Perform duties consistent with Mercy's mission and service standards. This role requires a current Missouri RN license, BLS certification, and weekend availability (Fri, Sat, Sun) for a 36-hour week. A sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 is available for experienced nurses.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associate Degree in Nursing
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Nursing Diploma
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri
- Compact licensure in accordance with state board of nursing regulations
- Previous hospital experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
