Job Summary
Provide patient care in the Cardiac Stepdown unit using the nursing process while maintaining professional accountability and coordinating care with other departments. Evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by direct care givers and ensure strict adherence to patient rights and confidentiality standards. Perform duties consistent with Mercy's mission, values, and service standards. Requires a current Missouri RN license, BLS certification, and an Associate, Diploma, or BSN in Nursing. Weekend option schedule includes Friday through Sunday shifts with a $20/hour differential.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associate Degree in Nursing
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Nursing Diploma
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri
- Compact licensure in accordance with state board of nursing regulations
- Previous hospital experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
