Job Summary
Provide patient care in the Cardiac Stepdown unit while maintaining professional accountability and coordinating care across departments. Utilize the nursing process to evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and ensure patient rights and confidentiality are upheld. Perform duties consistent with Mercy's mission, values, and service standards. Requires current Missouri RN licensure, BLS certification, and weekend availability (Fri–Sun). Offers a weekend differential of $20/hour and sign-on bonuses up to $10,000 for experienced nurses. Located at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associate Degree in Nursing
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Nursing Diploma
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri
- Compact licensure in accordance with state board of nursing regulations
- Previous hospital experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
