Job Summary
Provide patient care in the Cardiac Stepdown unit using the nursing process while maintaining professional accountability for assigned patients. Coordinate care with other departments and evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by direct care givers. Ensure patient rights and confidentiality of information are upheld throughout the shift. Perform duties consistent with Mercy's mission, values, and service standards. Requires current Missouri RN license, BLS certification, and weekend availability (Fri–Sun). Weekend differential of $20/hour applies; sign-on bonuses available for experienced or new graduate nurses.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following: Associate Degree in Nursing, Nursing Diploma, or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
- Weekend Option (Fri, Sat & Sun)

Desired Qualifications
- Previous hospital experience
- BSN
- Additional state licensure or specialty certifications
- Prior experience in specialty area or similar clinical setting
