Job Summary
Provide patient care in the Cardiac Stepdown unit using the nursing process while maintaining professional accountability for assigned patients. Coordinate care with other departments and evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by direct care givers. Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information consistent with Mercy service standards. Work a full-time weekend schedule (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) for 36 hours per week at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis. Earn a weekend differential of $20/hour for hours worked between Friday 7:00 AM and Monday 7:00 AM. Eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 for experienced nurses or $5,000 for new graduates.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associate Degree in Nursing
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Nursing Diploma
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri
- Compact licensure in accordance with state board of nursing regulations
- Previous hospital experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
