Job Summary
The RN Cardiac Step Down provides patient-centered care on a cardiac telemetry/unit, coordinating and delivering care based on the nursing process and physician orders. Responsibilities include conducting patient assessments, administering prescribed medications, operating telemetry equipment, monitoring vitals, collaborating with physicians and the care team, responding to emergencies (CPR/code team), and educating patients and families on conditions, treatments, and post-discharge plans. Maintains infection control, documentation, and adherence to safety standards; participates in quality improvement and professional development. Night shift with differential and a sign-on bonus are noted.
Required Qualifications
- RN - Registered Nurse licensure valid in state or compact state
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
