Job Summary
RN - cardiac specialty care role providing advanced nursing care for cardiac conditions, including heart failure, arrhythmias, and post-surgical care for cardiac procedures. Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments of cardiac patients (vital signs, heart rhythms, hemodynamic status), administering medications (IV drips, anticoagulants, cardiac meds), monitoring for changes and emergencies, pre- and post-procedural care for procedures like catheterizations, angioplasty, and pacemaker insertions, educating patients and families on management and lifestyle changes, and collaborating with cardiologists, dietitians, physical therapists, and case managers to develop individualized care plans. Requires an Associate Degree in Nursing and NM or Compact State license, with BLS at time of hire. Includes nurse residency program for new grads, tuition/certification reimbursement, sign-on and relocation bonuses, and other benefits.
