Job Summary

Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned patients in the 4H Cardiac Progressive Care unit while maintaining professional accountability and coordinating care across departments. Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and ensure patient rights and confidentiality are upheld. Maintain a current RN license and hold Basic Life Support certification, meeting all state board requirements and unit-specific certifications. Perform physical duties consistent with demands including lifting 50 pounds, prolonged standing, and repetitive movement. Work full-time 36 hours per week on a 12-hour night shift from 7:00pm to 7:30am. Assist in obtaining advanced degrees through our ASN to BSN and BSN to MSN bridging programs while enjoying comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and matched retirement plans.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
  • Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
  • Other unit specific certifications as required
  • Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
  • Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift
  • Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
