RN Cardiac Cath Lab/Stress Lab (Full Time 40 Hours), West Penn Hospital

Assess, plan, and evaluate nursing care for patients in the Cardiac Cath or Stress Lab, utilizing the nursing process to implement individualized care plans. Lead the team by assigning tasks, delegating duties based on staff skill levels, and managing charge responsibilities including staff lunches. Maintain a safe environment by promoting patient safety initiatives, participating in quality improvement projects, and providing peer feedback on clinical practice. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to evaluate care, resolve patient concerns, and ensure appropriate order set usage. Document interventions, notify physicians of condition changes, and continuously evaluate patient satisfaction while adhering to time management guidelines and hospital policies.
