Job Summary
Deliver safe, effective, and quality patient-centered care on the perianesthesia unit for all patient populations. Administer medications according to standard nursing practice while providing therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way. Incorporate differences into care delivery and integrate knowledge, skills, and experiences to meet patient and family needs throughout the continuum, including education. Utilize standards, guidelines, protocols, or pathways for care delivery and incorporate data to continuously improve practice and enhance outcomes. Requires Alabama Board of Nursing License, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications obtained within 90 days of hire.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a school of nursing
- 1-2 years RN hospital experience
- Alabama Board of Nursing License
- BLS obtained within 90 days of hire/transfer or prior to taking call
- ACLS obtained within 90 days of hire/transfer or prior to taking call
- PALS obtained within 90 days of hire/transfer or prior to taking call
Desired Qualifications
- BSN
- Perianesthesia experience
- ER experience
- ICU/stepdown experience
