Job Summary
RN-cadet camp healthcare role providing first aid and clinical nursing services to cadets, instructors, and onsite civilians during a short-term summer camp. Responsibilities include patient history and physical assessment, patient screening, diagnostic/therapeutic interventions, counselling on preventive care, referrals, OTC medication administration within delegated authority, documenting in medical files, maintaining stock and clinic operations, and coordinating with the Charge/Head Nurse. Shifts may be eight or twelve hours, including weekdays and weekends. Must contribute to hygiene, safety, and prevention of medical problems, assist physicians or nurse practitioners, and complete administrative tasks such as intake forms, drug handling, and medical records while adhering to Bayshore policies and the quality management system. Requires completion of PRC/VSS and eligibility to work with youth.
Required Qualifications
- RN - Registered Nurse
- Bilingual in French and English preferred
- Police Records Check (PRC)/VSS required
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BScN) or equivalent preferred
