Job Summary
Evaluate, plan, implement, and document nursing care for assigned patient populations across pediatrics, postpartum, and NICU units. Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, perform patient tests, and administer medications within the scope of practice. Promote patient independence by establishing care goals and teaching self-care skills while maintaining a high level of adaptability with diverse teams. Integrate evidence-based practice and use data to monitor care outcomes, fostering open communication within inter-professional teams. Maintain regular, predictable attendance and meet age-specific unit needs.
Required Qualifications
- BSN required
- Graduate of a nationally accredited Nursing program required
- State of Idaho Registered Nurse OR licensure pending as documented by temporary licensure OR current RN licensure from a state participating in the 'multistate privilege to practice' compact with Idaho prior to start date
- BLS required
- NRP required within 6 months of hire
- PALS required within 6 months of hire
- Must be able to lift and move up to 35 lbs
- Must be able to maintain a standing position
- Must be able to stoop, crouch or bend
- Must be able to push, pull, or transport heavy equipment
- Must be able to assist in patient transfer
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
