Job Summary
RN(BSN) Nursing Instructor needed to teach clinicals and labs part-time (2-3 days/week, M-F) in-person at the Elyria, OH campus and off-site clinics. The role involves instructing students in Ross curriculum, reviewing lesson plans, grading and recording assignments, promoting student retention, supporting externship activities, and maintaining accurate student records. Requires BSN or higher, current OH RN licensure, and at least two years of direct patient care nursing experience. Daytime availability and ability to teach both on-campus and off-site clinicals are required. Strong communication skills, ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency with campus management software (e.g., Microsoft, Campus Vue, Brightspace) are expected. Prior teaching or tutoring experience with a curriculum is preferred. Ross Education is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an approved registered nursing education program, BSN or higher
- Two or more years in the practice of nursing as a registered nurse providing direct patient care
- Current, valid licensure as a registered nurse in Ohio
- Daytime availability
- Must be able to teach at the campus and off-site clinicals
- Ability to communicate effectively in classroom and individual settings
- Knowledge of materials (subjects) that will be taught to students and ability to use and communicate Ross curriculum
- Ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced work environment
- Ability to use current technology to maintain student records, e.g., Microsoft, Campus Vue, Brightspace
- Ability to achieve or maintain credential and/or licensure within expected time frames
- Demonstrates professionalism in manner, dress and conduct as a representative of Ross and a student mentor
