Job Summary
Travel RN position in Illinois for an ICU/float pool assignment. Night shift (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) with weekend/holiday rotations. Inpatient float pool covering cardiac, pulmonary, oncology, stroke, post-surgical, rehab, and mental health populations. Requires ADN/College Diploma of Nursing and ICU experience; must hold an active Illinois nursing license (temp IL licensure not accepted). Floating to multiple units and locations anticipated. Auto-offer with no interview; scheduling/time-off constraints apply. Responsibilities include direct patient care, IV venipuncture, blood administration, pain management, and procedures preparation. Priorities include critical care nursing across multiple intensive care contexts and managing complex post-operative and chronically ill patients. Shift details: 12-hour shifts, 3 per week; expected length: 13 weeks with 7 days max off and up to 3 consecutive days off; 2 references required; driver’s license required.
Required Qualifications
- ADN completion
- College Diploma of Nursing
- Illinois nursing license
- BLS certification
- ICU experience
- 10 months Critical Care Float Pool experience
- 12 months ICU experience
- Travel-only assignment (local not allowed)
- Be >50 miles from facility to be submitted
- May float to multiple units including Medical-Oncology, Surgical-Orthopedic, Cardiovascular Care Unit, Progressive Care Unit, Mental Health Unit, Acute Rehab
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)
