Job Summary
Direct patient care for oncology patients with emphasis on blood cancer and related disorders, following the Texas Nursing Practice Act and nursing process/outcomes. The role emphasizes oncology-specific care, continued clinical education, access to staffing support, technology, and resources to deliver safe, high-quality care. The position is based in Medical City Dallas with a focus on delivering rigorous, evidence-based nursing for blood cancer oncology patients, and requires active licensing in Texas or a compact state, BSN within 24 months for hires after mid-2023, BLS, ACLS within six months, and ONS chemotherapy/biotherapy certification within 60 days. Emphasis on ongoing education, credentialing support, and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
- BSN within 24 months of hire if hired after 6/1/12
- Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license
- Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS
- ACLS within six months of hire or transfer (effective 10/01/23)
- ONS Chemotherapy biotherapy certificate course within 60 days of hire or transfer (effective 10/01/23)
