RN- Birthplace Part Time Nights

RN in Birthplace (Obstetrics/Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Nursery) provides patient-centered care across obstetric and neonatal care pathways. Responsibilities include coordinating and delivering care per nursing process, conducting thorough patient assessments, documenting findings, administering medications with monitoring for side effects, assisting physicians during procedures, developing and evaluating care plans with the healthcare team, responding to emergencies (including CPR/code team activities), educating patients and families, adhering to infection control protocols, operating medical equipment (IV pumps, monitors, ventilators), ensuring patient safety per National Patient Safety Goals, participating in audits and performance-improvement initiatives, and maintaining professional development. Specific obstetrics responsibilities include prenatal education, labor support (epidurals and pain management), monitoring fetal well-being via electronic fetal monitoring, postpartum care, newborn assessments, and postpartum education on newborn care and breastfeeding. Requires strong nursing knowledge, assessment, documentation, and collaboration across interdisciplinary teams. Regular attendance and compliance with policies are required.
