Job Summary
Lead the team of care providers in a birthing center setting while performing OB triage duties as needed. Maintain current licensure with the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners and hold required certifications including BLS, ACLS, EFM, STABLE, and NRP. Complete background checks, lab work, and immunization records prior to employment. Work shifts ranging from 7a-7p or 7p-7a with physical demands including frequently sitting, standing, and walking.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree Nurse or Bachelors of Science Nursing Degree
- Current licensure with the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners
- Obtains and maintains American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider
- Obtains and maintains ACLS within 6 months of employment
- EFM and STABLE certifications are required within 6 months of employment if there is prior labor experience
- EFM and STABLE certifications are required within 1 year of employment if there is no prior labor experience
- Obtains and maintains American Academy of Pediatrics NRP provider within 4 months of employment
- OB triage duties may be assigned after the employee has completed the EMTALA Qualified Medical Personnel competency or with oversight by an RN who has completed the competency
- Employment contingent upon successful completion of: Background Check
- Employment contingent upon successful completion of: Lab Work
- Employment contingent upon successful completion of: Immunization Records
- Respirator Fit Testing Required Annually

- Pushing/pulling (Maximum weight: 50 lbs) -Frequently
- Lifting/Carrying (Maximum weight: 50 lbs)- Rarely
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in maternal/newborn care preferred
