Job Summary
Assess patients' physical and behavioral health needs, develop nursing care plans, and maintain medical records while educating families about conditions. Administer medications accurately, document controlled substance counts, and ensure physicians' verbal orders are transcribed appropriately. Notify physicians of significant status changes, including detox difficulties or medical emergencies, and complete admission and discharge processing efficiently. Demonstrate knowledge of universal precautions, exhibit therapeutic rapport with patients, and coordinate unit activities as directed. Full-time night or day shifts with every other weekend rotation; $7,500 to $10,000 sign-on bonus available.
Required Qualifications
- Must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing
- Must possess a current Registered Nurse (RN) license as required by the state of employment or be eligible to practice nursing in accordance with state requirements
- One year of nursing experience
- CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification
- First aid
Desired Qualifications
- previous psychiatric, mental, behavioral, or substance abuse nursing experience
