Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for individuals suffering from psychiatric illness, behavioral disorders, and chemical dependency. Maintain professional accountability for assigned patients, evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers, and coordinate care with other departments. Uphold patient rights and confidentiality while adhering to Mercy service standards within a structured therapeutic environment. Work 24 hours per week on night shifts at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Festus, MO. Graduates receive a $10,000 sign-on bonus, while experienced nurses receive $13,000.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
