Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for individuals suffering from psychiatric illness, behavioral disorders, and chemical dependency. Maintain professional accountability for assigned patients while coordinating care with other departments and evaluating the effectiveness of care provided by direct care givers. Protect patient rights and confidentiality of information in a structured therapeutic environment that includes evaluation, education, medication therapy, and relapse prevention. Work 24 hours per week on nights.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
