Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for individuals suffering from psychiatric illness, behavioral disorders, and chemical dependency. Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintain professional accountability for assigned patients while ensuring patient rights and confidentiality of information. Deliver structured therapeutic programs through evaluation, education, medication therapy, individual and group therapy, and relapse prevention within a multi-disciplinary team environment. Work 24 hours per week on nights.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- 24 hours per week
- Nights
