Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for individuals suffering from psychiatric illness, behavioral disorders, and chemical dependency. Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintain patient rights, confidentiality of patient information, and professional accountability consistent with Mercy service standards. Deliver structured therapeutic programs including evaluation, education, medication therapy, and relapse prevention. Requires current RN license, BSN or diploma, and Basic Life Support certification. 24 hours per week, nights shift.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
