Job Summary
Conduct intake assessments through interviews with patients and relatives to gather case history and establish comprehensive, goal-directed interdisciplinary care plans. Administer medications and monitor reactions to psychotropic drugs while testing vital signs for pain. Supervise all nursing staff, including CNAs and LPNs, to assure adherence to the interdisciplinary care plan, resident profiles, and policies. Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments, immunizations, and laboratory results, and perform administrative assignments such as filing and progress notes. Collaborate effectively with families, colleagues, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure appropriate treatment for emotionally disturbed and mentally ill patients on a 50-bed Behavioral Health Hospital Unit.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing
- Current RN license in the State of Connecticut, in good standing
- Minimum one year clinical experience
