Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for adults with acute psychiatric illness or symptom exacerbation on a 28-bed inpatient unit and a 10-bed geriatric unit. Provide leadership through role modeling, mentorship, and assigning tasks to LPNs and support staff while maintaining a safe environment. Participate in interdisciplinary teams to evaluate clinical care, promote patient safety initiatives, and derive culturally appropriate outcomes. Utilize the nursing process to document changes in patient condition, notify physicians, and intervene appropriately. Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning by seeking formal and independent activities to maintain clinical skills and advance the profession.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)
- CPR certification
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
