Plan and supervise the nursing care delivered to acutely ill adult and geriatric patients in the Senior Behavioral Health Unit per standards. Maintain departmental operations, participate in performance improvement activities, and ensure high standards of care. Responsibilities include facilitating social and emotional needs, supervising medication schedules, evaluating patient progress, collaborating with interdisciplinary professionals, educating patients' families about conditions and long-term care, maintaining a safe environment with monitoring devices and restraints when necessary, and providing social support by encouraging participation in groups and therapeutic activities.
