Job Summary
Provide and coordinate care by assessing patients' physical and behavioral health needs and developing nursing care plans. Maintain medical records, educate patients and families, and accurately administer medications while documenting controlled substance counts. Ensure physicians' orders are transcribed appropriately and notify staff of significant status changes regarding detox, medical emergencies, or medication responses. Complete admission and discharge processing, demonstrate universal precautions, and communicate therapeutically with patients, visitors, and co-workers. Work 12-hour shifts in a 114-bed hospital supporting children, adolescents, and adults. New grads encouraged to apply.
Required Qualifications
- Must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing
- Must possess a current Registered Nurse (RN) license as required by AR or be eligible to practice nursing in accordance with state requirements
- One year of nursing experience
- CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification
- First aid
- AHRN
Desired Qualifications
- previous psychiatric, mental, behavioral, or substance abuse nursing experience
