Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides individualized nursing care to residents in a home/assisted living setting using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation). Collaborates with residents, families, and an inter-disciplinary team to plan and evaluate care, supports health maintenance and preventative care, and coordinates care and education. May serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to licensed/unlicensed personnel within competence. Requires an active RN license and typically a nursing degree (Bachelor’s preferred); experience in long-term care/subacute/medical-surgical settings is preferred. Compliance with applicable Nursing Practice Act and ethics standards is essential. Sign-on incentive available; benefits offered for qualifying part-time staff.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred
- One year of long term care, subacute care, medical/surgical experience preferred
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing or multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required certifications and completes CEU’s and competency training
- Drug screen and pre-employment background screening as a condition of employment
