Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) in a part-time role at a not-for-profit senior housing and services organization. Responsibilities include applying the nursing process to provide individualized resident care across prevention, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up in the home/sett ing; coordinating care; assessing residents; providing resident and family education; collaborating with interdisciplinary team; ensuring safe, reliable nursing care; and potentially serving as charge nurse while delegating tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel, while adhering to applicable nursing standards and ethics.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program preferred, including AACN/ACEN/NLN CNEA; Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred
- One year of long term care, subacute care, medical/surgical experience preferred
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where practice occurs (or multistate licensure in NLC state)
- Obtains and maintains required certifications and CEUs and competency training
- May serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to licensed/unlicensed personnel as appropriate
- Compliance with Nurse Practice Act and applicable standards of practice and ethics
