Job Summary
RN Assistant Director of Nursing to monitor and provide personal nursing care and leadership to the nursing staff, ensuring care standards are met and high-quality resident care is delivered. Will assist the DON with planning, organizing, developing and directing the Nursing Department, manage resources, supervise and participate in staff development and training, perform unit rounds, handle resident and family communications, participate in on-call rotations, and lead by example to maintain a safe, dignified care environment while ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in the state of the center (Ohio)
- Nursing degree from an accredited college or university or graduate of an approved RN program
- 5 years of prior RN nursing supervisory experience (preferably in a long-term care center)
- Current CPR certification
- Knowledge of nursing practices, standards of practice, and state regulations for long-term care
- Ability to make independent decisions
- Leadership, teaching, and supervisory abilities
- Willingness to work harmoniously with team members across roles
- Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret nursing programs and policies
