Job Summary
Supports DON leadership and oversees nursing department operations; ensures regulatory compliance with nursing standards and guidelines; coordinates patient care with medical staff and other departments; addresses clinical issues and implements corrective action plans; investigates concerns from patients, families, and staff; assists with hiring, onboarding, and staff retention; manages staffing and scheduling within budgeted HPPD; leads performance evaluations and provides ongoing staff feedback; supports training and orientation for nursing personnel; participates in Quality Assurance and clinical process improvement.
Required Qualifications
- ADN required
- BSN preferred
- Active RN license in the state of employment
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Independent decision‐making ability
- Knowledge of nursing standards, survey process, and quality measures
- Computer proficiency
- Customer‐service focus
