Job Summary

Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) supports the Director of Nursing by organizing and managing nursing services, supervising nursing staff, and contributing to QA initiatives. Key duties include assisting in supervision and staffing plans, coordinating care through care plans and education programs, participating in QA meetings, ensuring compliance with nursing standards, documenting and charting care, and collaborating with physicians and the IDT team to support residents. The role requires RN or LPN licensure, leadership experience in a long-term care setting, and CPR certification. The position emphasizes supervisory responsibilities such as hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Required Qualifications

  • Current state license to practice as a nurse
  • Current CPR certification
  • additional certification in nursing specialty desired
  • experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing (preferred)
  • freedom from illegal drug use and workplace substances
