Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering safe, evidence-based medical care to individuals in residential treatment for substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. Key duties include conducting nursing assessments, providing direct medical evaluations, administering medications, and supporting the therapeutic environment. This position requires an active RN license and an Associate Degree in Nursing, with preferred qualifications including a BSN and experience in relevant fields. The RN must ensure compliance with regulatory standards and participate in treatment team collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Diploma in Nursing
- Current CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or advanced degree (MSN, MPH)
- 2+ years of experience in substance use disorder (SUD), psychiatric, detox, behavioral health, or related settings
- Experience with trauma-informed care, co-occurring disorders, or medical withdrawal management
