Job Summary
Assess patient health status and develop individualized nursing care plans for endoscopy procedures. Implement care plans, administer medications within scope, and document activities for continuity and quality improvement. Monitor patients physiologically and psychologically to maintain a safe environment, coordinate support services, and communicate with the surgical and recovery teams. Position patients during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures while applying aseptic techniques and emergency life support protocols as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Active Registered Nurse license through the Washington State Department of Health
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare providers (AHA)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Membership in the Society of Gastrointestinal National Association and certification by SGNA
- 2+ years of recent endoscopy lab or ICU, ED experience
- Demonstrated advanced level of achievement of performance standards for endoscopy nursing according to SGNA standards of care
- 1+ years of experience working as a Registered Nurse
- Candidates are required to pass a drug test before beginning employment
Desired Qualifications
- Membership in the Society of Gastrointestinal National Association and certification by SGNA
- 2+ years of recent endoscopy lab or ICU, ED experience preferred
- Demonstrated advanced level of achievement of performance standards for endoscopy nursing according to SGNA standards of care
- 1+ years of experience working as a Registered Nurse
